Movie Review - "Harry Potter 7" offers a great beginning to an end

A magical visionary - Well, it’s all come down to this. After six installments, hordes of magical characters, spells and plenty of drama, the seventh and final piece to this series has arrived. For many, this beginning to the end is very much welcomed with all that has happened to this point. From the pages of the very first book dubbedHarry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone back in 1997 to the final book dubbed Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows three years ago, J.K. Rowling has wowed millions with her irresistible stories and characters. So, as we begin this much anticipated goodbye to what will clearly go down as one of the greatest film series of all-time, remember none of this would have been possible without the incredible vision of Rowling.

Previously in the world ruled by magic…we find Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson) vowing to hunt down this infamous R.A.B. (Regulus Arcturus Black) and destroy the remaining Horcruxes instead of returning to Hogwarts for their final year. Fastforward to now and we find the trio meeting with The Order of the Phoenix to plan what was next while Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) slowly begins to increase in power with the help of Bellatrix Lestrange (Helena Bonham Carter) and the Death Eaters. A couple chaotic and unfortunate encounters later with these Death Eaters, Harry, Ron and Hermione escape to begin their journey to find the missing Horcruxes. And what a journey it was, as the better part of this entire Part 1 was spent on all the trials and tribulations of these three as they sought to end the reign of Lord Voldemort before it ever got started. Of course doing so was no easy task, as the longer they ventured down this unknown path, the more they learned about what got them to this point, ultimately leading to a wild and all too symbolic conclusion full of intrigue.

Who was in it? Six stories and hundreds of characters later, we still are left with the threesome that got us here. Led by Daniel Radcliffe, this cast knows how to work around the web of words built by J.K. Rowling. And that’s especially true for Radcliffe who will always be known as Harry Potter, no matter what he does the rest of his career. That could be a good thing or bad thing, but the fact is, this guy can flat out act and without him, this series would have struggled. Continuing where her left off in “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” Radcliffe was easily able to bring out all the complexities a character like his demanded without overshadowing the brilliant Emma Watson and Rupert Grint. Like Radcliffe, we have also watched these two grow the past nine years, but I must say its Watson who may have stole the show here as her presence alone had you captivated more than once. Maybe it was all the gorgeous backdrops, but each and every time Watson’s Hermione spoke to Harry or Ron, you were glued to each word and inflection as if it was her last. That’s talent and why I have always said she will break away from this series and become the most successful over time.

Till death do us part? As I have proclaimed before, without reading the books, I can’t say for certain how true this series has been to the books. But, with how much was thrown into this first chapter of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” I fully understand why it was split. The book is 759 pages for a reason and I think a lot of credit should go to the producers and director David Yates for not wanting to cram too much into the final installment. I respect that, especially after what I would call a lackluster effort from the sixth piece to this series, “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.” So before you claim doing two films instead of one is all about the money, take a gander at the book and you’ll know where I’m coming from.

Because, let’s face it, this entire franchise is about the stories and the journey by three young friends as they attempt to bring peace back to the world they loved. That’s what this film and really any of the previous should be graded on. Anything else really takes a backseat, so any flaws with special effects or lack thereof really has no place in my opinion. That’s not to say there have been a lot to begin with, because there really hasn’t, but it’s really all about the story and what got us to this point. And with this final chapter, I think Yates and co. did an admirable job in displaying all the intricacies that go along with a story as complex as this final one. So, while I could have had a bit more introduction to this chapter, I still became quickly invested in what was next and in the end, that’s all it’s really about.

Bottom Line – It’s hard to know where we would be in this series, had Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint not signed on for all eight films. So, I think I speak for everyone when I say I’m glad they did as it’s been a fun ride along side them in this incredible journey from the mind of J.K. Rowling. The reality is, if Part 2 is anything close to Part 1, we will all be in for a treat eight months from now when this series finally comes to a close.

Fast & Furious 6 (Extended Edition) Blu-ray Review

This article focus on the hottest Blu-ray movies "Fast Furious 6 Entended Edition", keep on reading to get the latest News and Reviews for this latest Blu-ray movies.

News and Introduction

It’s hard to watch Fast 6 now in light of the recent death of star Paul Walker, though more especially since this Fast outing has such a strong emphasis on family. With babies and familiar faces hitting this sixth outing, the power of kin weighs heavy here. Not that the action (a little Gina Carano/Michelle Rodriguez fists of fury action!), comedy (love the scene where Tyrese examines a rival gangs photos and find similarities!) and car prowess (dig those ramp enhanced autos!) isn’t at full Justin Lin helmed tilt, but with Vin Diesel and gang going after a much more elite group with only the power of family on their side, it’s hard to imagine a Fast film without the core players.

Best Feature: The doc Hand to Hand Fury examines that rather memorable fight between Carano and Rodriguez in total detail – girl fight indeed!

Best Hidden Gem: Both the 'Take Control Featurette' and the 'Exclusive Look at Fast 7' are steeped in full charismatic Paul Walker involvement and it’s bittersweet for fans.

Worth the Moola: A fine sentimental follow up to the five star action ride "Fast Five."

The Movie Itself: Our Reviewer's Take

I am a recent convert to the 'Fast and Furious' franchise. After hearing in March that the seventh movie had been announced even before the release of the sixth, I decided it was time to see what all the fuss was about. Although I didn't think much of the story and characters in 'The Fast and the Furious,' I thought the stunts and action were handled quite well. '2 Fast 2 Furious' found Walker heading out on his own to Miami but suffered like many sequels do, from being a copy of the original. Appearing as though the producers found a script lying around that they could just slap their banner on, 'Tokyo Drift' finds a new character Sean (Lucas Black) take the franchise to Japan.

A cameo at the end was the only thing revealing the movie existed in the same movie universe. With Vin Diesel on board as a producer, 'Fast & Furious' righted the ship and saw the franchise return to what it did best. 'Fast Five' took things in a different direction, gathering characters from the first two movies and becoming a heist movie, like 'Ocean's 11'. The conflict was increased with the inclusion of Diplomatic Security Service agent Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) in pursuit of the gang.

The seeds for the 'F&F6' story were sown in Five's epilogue. Although proclaimed dead in 'F&F', Dom's girlfriend Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) is discovered alive and working with a criminal gang in Europe, led by Owen Shaw (Luke Evans). After an attack on a Russian military convoy, Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) approaches Dom (Vin Diesel) for help. Dom agrees to get the whole gang back together on the condition that they receive pardons.

Shortly after arriving in London, they fail to stop a job by Shaw. As he and the gang learn Shaw is stealing components to create a power-disabling device he can sell, Shaw and his gang learn Letty has a connection to Dom. However, she has no memory of him because instead of dying after an accident, as everyone believed, she escaped with amnesia. Though I can't remember the scene exactly from two movies prior, I don't believe the filmmakers left themselves an out and am almost certain they cheated and created new material to change the story.

As the gangs, who are very well matched, continue to cross paths, Letty grows confused in reaction to the way each group treats her. And what helps seal the deal for her is a jaw-dropping, physics-defying moment during a crazy chase when Shaw is willing to sacrifice her to escape while Dom is willing to sacrifice himself to save her. I should mention that sequence involves Dom's team chasing after Shaw, who drives a tank down a motorway, smashing through and firing its gun at any car that gets in his way. It's exciting and caused a good bit of destruction, so I presumed it would end with Shaw's capture. Thankfully, I was wrong, and the filmmakers upped the ante even higher for a spectacular sequence that involved the good guys trying to stop Shaw and his people from leaving on a transport plane. Setting aside the logistics of how long that runaway must have been, everyone of the F&F team gets into the act and shines.

This is director Justin Lin's fourth, and for now final, movie in the franchise, and he goes out on top. He uses all the elements that have been successful: over-the-top action, humor, and camaraderie between the characters, and of course, good-looking cars and girls, and overcomes most of what didn't. While 'Fast Five' was a bit bloated during its over two-hour length, 'FF6', which runs just as long, is paced better and doesn't drag. The movie's main flaw is the villain. Evans doesn't have much presence or charisma as Shaw, and the character comes off as one-dimensional and rather forgettable. But to be fair, there's not a whole lot of characterization to the good guys either.

Once again, the epilogue hints at what was to come and suggests a great villain played by a well-known action star, but all that is unfortunately up in the air now as production on 'Fast & Furious 7' has been halted as they determine how to handle the loss of Walker.

It may have been easy to dismiss the first few installments, especially after 'Tokyo Drift' nearly sank the franchise, but with 'Fast & Furious' and 'Fast Five' pushing the series' domestic box-office total to nearly $700 million and over $1.5 billion worldwide, there's no denying its success. Even more astonishing is how 'Fast & Furious 6' bucks conventional wisdom about sequels and is my favorite of the series so far.

The Blu-ray: Vital Disc Stats

'Fast & Furious 6: Extended Edition' is on a 50GB Region A Blu-ray disc comes with a DVD, and paperwork for an UltraViolet download. They sit in a standard blue case which comes with a slipcase. There are trailers for 'Kick-Ass 2', 'Fast & Furious 6' :The Game, Transformers: The Ride 3D, and 'Riddick'.

The Video: Sizing Up the Picture

The video has been given a 1080p/AVC-MPEG-4 encoded transfer displayed at 2.35:1. The colors appear in bright, vibrant hues, especially noticeable from the cars and clothing like bikinis. The casts' various fleshtones appear consistent throughout. Blacks are rich but lean towards crushing when black cars drive through darkened streets at night. Shadow delineation is not strong. For example when Hobbs is walking through the hallways of Interpol, faces lose their features in the shadows.

Objects are sharp and well defined. Great depth is seen in the many car-chase sequences, especially when vehicles are darting in and out of traffic. The detail on display reveals very fine textures, such as in the women's clothing and surfaces such as walls and floors. In one scene, Tyrese' nose ring hole is evident. There's a limited amount of banding that pops up around lights, but it's negligible.

The Audio:

Rating the Sound

The audio is available in DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and delivers a reference-quality experience. A very loud roar of what turns out to be two engines fills the surrounds, augmented with a great bottom end from the subwoofer. The viewer is immersed in the sounds of two cars speeding along a freeway before they move out of frame and into the rears. The scene then cuts to a high, overhead shot where the engines become a soft purr as a seagull cawing can be heard. Only a few moments in and the track reveals how wide its dynamic range is.

Throughout the chase scenes, the vehicles make full use of the soundfield as they travel through the different channels. The fights are accentuated and exaggerated with forceful effects. Sounds that are quieter and softer have their place as well. Bullets can be heard pinging of cement and slicing through the air. Glass breaks and shatters, tinkling onto the pavement.

Bass almost never gets distorted. One establishing shot had it turned up too high as waves crash. Dialogue is clear and all the elements are well balanced together. During the establishing scene before Dom and Lety's race, the music is cranked up louder than the rest of the movie.

The Supplements: Digging Into the Good Stuff

Deleted Scenes (HD, 2 min) – Three scenes with a Play-All option that are so short and offer so little, it makes you wonder what the point of including them is.

On the Set with Vin (HD, 3 min) – shows viewers Vin performing a simple stunt;

The Making of 'Fast & Furious 6' – This four-part feature presents “The Fastest of Them All” (HD, 10 min), which finds Lin and the cast talking about making this movie the biggest one yet; "Reuniting the Team" (HD, 7 min) focuses on the minor members of the team; "Letty's Return" (HD, 5 min) is self explanatory, and "The Mastermind and the Mole" (4 min) looks at the two main villains.

Commentary – Director Justin Lin sits for a thorough overview of the making of the film.

HD Bonus Content: Any Exclusive Goodies in There?

Take Control (HD, 20 min) – Diesel, Walker, Lin, Rodriguez talk about this film and the trilogy the movies four through six made.

Hand to Hand Fury (HD, 10 min) – This explores how different fight sequences were created with fight choreographer Olivier Schneider.

It's All About the Cars – "Gearhead's Delight" (HD, 6 min) displays the variety of vehicles from the movie and "The Flip Car" (HD, 5 min) focuses on the villains' secret weapon. "On the Set with Vin" appears under this menu heading.

> Planes, Tanks, Automobiles – Looks at four different action sequences through interviews with cast and crew and behind-the-scenes footage: "The London Chase" (HD, 8 min), "Highway Heist: The Convoy Attack" (HD, 6 min), "The Antonov Takedown" (HD, 6 min), "Dom and Letty Race Again" (HD, 4 min).

Extended Version (HD, 131 min) – Coming in at roughly one minute longer than the theatrical, I have no idea what's been added, but it doesn’t seem much different than what I saw in the theater.

'Fast & Furious 7': First Look (HD, 2 min) – While paying respects to a fallen comrade, Roman (Tyrese Gibson) talks with Brian (Walker) about not wanting to go to any more funerals in a scene that I expect to be cut from the film.

Easter Eggs

No easter eggs reported for 'Fast & Furious 6 (Extended Edition)' yet. Found an egg? Please use our tips form to let us know, and we'll credit you with the find.

Final Thoughts

While the story is as simple and lightweight as the characters, nothing delivered better action than 'Fast & Furious 6', due in large part to the practical work of the stunt team. If you like fists, bodies, and cars fly though the air, this is the movie for you. The Blu-ray allows you to simulate the theatrical experience with its great video and reference audio. Highly recommended.

It’s Official: Pixar Working On ‘The Incredibles 2′ and ‘Cars 3′

Last year, Pixar President Ed Catmull detailed the studio’s plans to release an original film every year, and a sequel every other, totaling up to three films every two years. Up to this point, we have seen sequels (and a prequel) for the Toy Story, Cars, and Monsters, Inc. franchises, but there has been one franchise, above all others, that has had a loud group of fans begging for a follow up – Brad Bird’s The Incredibles. Today, Disney announced two Pixar sequels that are in development, The Incredibles 2 and Cars 3.

Pixar tweeted the following, supporting Disney CEO Bob Iger’s announcements earlier today:

From: Disney•Pixar

It’s official: we’re currently working on new films featuring your favorite characters from The Incredibles and Cars!

At Disney’s annual shareholder’s meeting, held this year in Oregon, Iger revealed that Brad Bird is currently working on the story for a second Incredibles film. For the past few years, Bird has held that he would not be involved with a follow-up if he did not have a great idea. Although the latest Toy Storyand Monsters, Inc. films had different directors than the original films in their respective franchises, Pixar seemed to acknowledge that Bird would have to play a major role in the development of anotherIncredibles film, putting a sequel squarely in the hands of the director. After Ratatouille, Bird shifted to live-action, directing Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol and Tomorrowland (due out next year), so his return would also mean a full-time return to Pixar. He is constantly involved in the studio’s Braintrust meetings, but he has obviously been busy with his own projects. Following the completion ofTomorrowland, he should have more time on his plate to work on The Incredibles 2.

Iger also announced that Pixar is developing Cars 3, confirming rumors that emerged last year. The property has proven to be lucrative to Disney, from the toys to the incredible Cars Land at Disney California Adventure at the Disneyland Resort. It remains to be seen whether Lasseter will return to the director’s chair for the third film. The Cars films have been close to Lasseter’s heart, but he is busier than ever running creative at both Pixar and Disney Animation. He is also heavily involved with Walt Disney Imagineering and the group’s theme park projects, so he clearly has limited hours in the day. Still, given that the film was just announced, we would not see it released in theaters until closer to the end of the decade, at the earliest, which might just be enough time for Lasseter to return.

The rumor about the plot of the third Cars film involved Route 99, as opposed to the Route 66 we saw in the first two films. You can read more about the story possibility in the post from last year.

It should not be surprising that Pixar is working on sequels, considering Catmull stated the studio would continue releasing them, in addition to original films. The studio is not abandoning original stories, as next year we will see Inside Out from Monsters, Inc. and Up director Pete Docter, and The Good Dinosaur. Toy Story 3 director Lee Unkrich is also actively working on a film centered around the Mexican holiday of Dia de los Muertos. Sequels provide too much of a return to be blatantly ignored by studios, but the hope is that Pixar can continue to be creative and inspire as much with both its original films and sequels as it has demonstrated with its previous films.

No release dates or further details for The Incredibles 2 and Cars 3 were provided – stay tuned for further details.

Stallone vs. Schwarzenegger: Who wins the Escape Plan tale of the tape?

Images (C) Getty/Original GWR illustration

If you told anyone in the late-80s that Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone would one day start teaming up to make movies, they probably would've reacted the same way as when they found out The Mega Powers were forming.

But here we are, some 20 years later, and two of the biggest action stars of all-time are following up their work in "The Expendables" and its sequel with co-top billing in "Escape Plan," releasing this weekend.

But enough about these massive humans working together - what would happen if we threw these long-in-the-tooth He-Men into a hypothetical world record brawl? On the eve of their new film, let's find out who would escape in one piece!

(See what we did there?)

THE CASE FOR SCHWARZENEGGER

World-class bodybuilder. Top-flight action star. United States governor.

The Schwarzenegger résumé is certainly varied and distinguished. And it's reflected in some of the world records he's been recognized for, which show off one of the truest examples of "The American Dream" we'll ever see.

Winner of six straight Mr. Olympia titles from 1970-75 and another in 1980, Schwarzenegger held the records for both most consecutive and overall wins of the event until later being surpassed by Lee Haney (1984-91) and Ronnie Coleman (1998-05). Still, that five-year gap between his sixth and seventh titles still remains as the record for longest time between Mr. Olympia titles.

Arnie's influence in the bodybuilding world was so great, he later went on to have the Arnold Sports Festival named after him. Having skyrocketed in popularity since its founding in 1989, it was recognized in 2007 as the bodybuilding event with the largest attendance.

And that's not even getting into his movie records. And no, we don't mean the record for most awesome movie line ever:

We mean the fact he holds the record for most films made by a bodybuilder. To go from winning 13 world titles (seven Mr. Olympia, five Mr. Universe, one Mr. World) to starring in 36 feature films is incredible. In fact, he grew into such an in-demand star that his epic "True Lies" in 1994 became the first-ever movie with a $100 million budget.

THE CASE FOR STALLONE

Impressive on Arnold's behalf, for sure. But if you're already counting out Stallone, you've obviously never seen a "Rocky" movie.

And there's no better place to start when debating the merits of the de facto Italian Stallion. The "Rocky" franchise, running from the original in 1976 to "Rocky Balboa" 30 years later, is the most successful sports movie franchise ever, grossing $1,251,372,491 throughout its six installments. And the way Stallone keeps going, it wouldn't shock us to see a "Rocky 7" add to this total soon.

Stallone is also responsible for one of the most audacious stunts pulled off in movie history. For his 1993 vehicle "Cliffhanger," Stallone had stuntman Simon Crane perform the most expensive film stunt in air: performed just once, Crane's trick of moving between two jets at an altitude of 15,000 ft (4,572 m) cost $1 million. Ever the nice guy, Stallone offered to to reduce his salary on the film by the same cost in order to make sure the stunt went off.

Stallone even bled into the gaming world, as his Rambo character begat the first movie-licensed run-and-gun game, "Rambo: First Blood Part II" on the SEGA Master System in 1986. And while it's not a record, Stallone (for "Rocky") is also one of only two men (Charlie Chaplin and Orson Welles) to be nominated for Oscars in best original screenplay and best actor for the same film - good company!

THE VERDICT

Unfortunately, Stallone also holds a dubious distinction on the other end of the movie awards spectrum. He's the most-nominated Razzie recipient of all-time, garnering 30 noms en route to 8 career "wins" in the Golden Raspberry Awards for the worst in film.

And while it absolutely crushes me to go against the man who graced my life with this...

...there's just no way I can overlook the impact Schwarzenegger had on both movies and sport (without even accounting for his completely incongruous two-term run as governor of California).

So two jacked geriatrics enter; only one wins. Hasta la vista, Sly.

Winner: Arnold Schwarzenegger

Disney’s ‘Frozen’ Becomes Amazon’s Best-Selling Kids Movie

Walt Disney Co. (DIS:US)’s animated picture “Frozen” has become Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN:US)’s best-ever selling kids movie, the online retailer said today.

The film is No. 1 in both DVD/Blu-ray disc sales and digital downloads, Stacey Keller, a spokeswoman for Seattle-based Amazon, said in an e-mail. The sales include advance orders which, for the DVD versions, began on Nov. 27.

Disney’s two-disc Blu-ray and DVD pack sells for $19.96 on Amazon.com, while the digital download costs $14.99 for the standard version and $19.99 for the high-definition version through Amazon Instant Video. The Blu-ray and DVD versions were released yesterday, according to Disney.

“Many of the buyers have already seen the movie and want to watch it over and over again with their kids,” said Paul Dergarabedian, senior analyst for the research firm Rentrak Corp. “This film is unstoppable.”

'Frozen' on DVD and 5 More Disney Movies With Great Messages

"Frozen" comes out on DVD this week, and we can't think of a better month for the film to be released. Not only did the $1-billion-grossing phenomenon just win two memorable Academy Awards on March 2nd, but let's face it, for a bulk of the country, it's been a frozen state of mind this winter -- even as we supposedly approach Spring on the calendar. March is also Women's History Month, and "Frozen" is one of Disney's most girl-empowering Princess films. But of course, the movie's inspiring messages about conquering your fears and letting love guide you are universal, so we're celebrating "Frozen's" DVD release with a tribute to it and five other Disney films with exemplary messages for viewers of all ages.

Since "Frozen" was loosely inspired by "The Snow Queen" (by Hans Christian Andersen), Elsa was originally going to be a villain. But the filmmakers believed that keeping Elsa as the typical "Snow Queen" antagonist would shift the story's focus away from what they believed was it's most important message.

"We loved the powerful idea of love versus fear, but the minute Elsa became evil, the good versus evil theme took over, and it was really frustrating for us" director Jennifer Lee told Moviefone. "I think 'Let It Go' allowed us to show ourselves and the other story artists and filmmakers that there was more to do with Elsa, that it was more exciting when we made her complex and conflicted and not a villain."

So the filmmakers went back to the drawing board (literally), and rewrote the story with Elsa as the character who has to "let go" of her fears and embrace her sister Anna's love. And for the directors, each of the main characters represents a different form of love, from Olaf's childlike innocence and Anna's eternal optimism to Kristoff opening himself to Anna, and of course the over-arching bond between the two sisters.

"I believe that the story comes down to: don't be afraid of who you are. Embrace what makes you you, because standing out can be a powerful tool for your voice to be heard," director Christopher Buck told Moviefone.

Did You Know? The filmmakers, including executive producer John Lasseter, director Buck, producer Peter Del Vecho, and art director Michael Giaimo took research trips to Canada's famous Hotel du Glace in Quebec City for inspiration. The visits helped the Disney animation team accurately depict ice structures.

"There's so much of this place in Elsa's palace. You can really see the inspiration and how it helped us," Buck said of the Hotel du Glace.

More Positive Messages: Each movie has several messages and themes, but we've chosen to highlight one from the following five Disney films from the last 10 years.

Disney Movies With Positive Messages:

1. "Brave"

Be true to yourself.

Clever, wild-haired Merida is not the least bit interested in dressing like an uptight royal, securing a politically beneficial betrothal, or otherwise acting like a "proper" princess. Much to her mother Queen Elinor's chagrin, Merida wants to remain independent and free – not forced to marry some rival clan's firstborn. Although she makes some selfish mistakes (um, like accidentally turning her mum into a bear), Merida (and the Queen) realize that even an honor-bound princess can be plucky and utterly herself. (Also see: "Planes," "Ratatouille")

2. "Monsters University"

Failure can ultimately lead to success.
It's rare for a kid-friendly flick to deals with failure and disappointment, but leave it to the folks at Pixar to explore how an unrealized dream can actually be a good thing. Mike Wazowski -- as we all know from "Monsters, Inc." -- becomes one of the top scare assistants in all of Monstropolis, but once upon a time the clever little monster hoped to be an actual scarer. That dream doesn't work out, but he befriends Sulley, rallies the Oozma Kappa brothers, and learns that the path to success is unpredictable.

3. "The Princess and the Frog"

Don't judge others based on superficialities.
Prince Naveen (in frog form) assumes Tiana is a princess, because of how she's dressed. Tiana thinks Naveen will transform back into a prince and help her buy her dream restaurant space. Both are wrong about each other, but eventually Tiana sees past Naveen's vanity, and Naveen realizes Tiana is much more than "just a waitress." Sometimes it's not an obvious "beast" you have to see beyond, but an initial misconception about a person's worth or character. (Also see: "Beauty and the Beast")

4. "Tangled"

Don't be afraid of your strength.
Like Elsa in "Frozen," Rapunzel possesses a magical power that she's not exactly sure how to wield or control. Rapunzel's "mother" taught her to be afraid of others out to use her magical healing tresses for their own greedy needs. But after Rapunzel meet-cutes Flynn Rider, she seizes her hair to help and protect herself and her new friend. She isn't frightened of her strength, and for the first time, discovers just how powerful she is without her overbearing Mother around to control her. (Also see: "The Incredibles," "Mulan")

5. "Up"

Unexpected friends can change your life.
Lonely widower Carl Fredricksen is pretty antisocial in his grief. All he wants to do is travel to Paradise Falls in his beloved Ellie's memory, and he has zero time to entertain Wilderness Explorer Russell, who hopes to earn a merit badge for assisting the elderly. But when Russell winds up an accidental passenger on Carl's flying house, the two unlikely travel partners eventually learn to trust, help, and rescue each other. As a result of their unforgettable adventure, the curmudgeon and the scout become like family. (Also see: "Finding Nemo," "Monsters Inc.")

Backup "In the Name of the King 3: The Last Mission" Blu-ray to MKV/MP4 with audio tracks and subtitle streams

If you want to convert Blu-ray to MP4/MKV, and save the multiple audio tracks at the same time, you've come to the right place. The following article will show you how to transcode "In the Name of the King 3: The Last Mission" Blu-ray to multi-track mkv/mp4 for playback.

"In the Name of the King 3: The Last Mission" was the best movie I saw in a theater so far from 20th Century Fox.

This time, it’s in a fantasy meets science fiction movie with “In the Name of the King 3: The Last Mission” It is sequel to the video game inspired fantasy movies. For this film Dominic Purcell stars as Hazan Kaine, an American hitman who tries to enter into his final contract, but it takes him back in time to the middle ages where he will battle an evil medieval army and reclaim a stolen kingdom.

It is director Boll’s venture back to the video game movies, which he was known previously for like “Bloodrayne,” “Alone in the Dark” and “House of the Dead.” And now he has directed unique cult movies like “Rampage,” “Blubberella” and “Postal.” This “In the Name of the King 3: The Last Mission” has been released on 26 February 2014.

Want to buy "In the Name of the King 3: The Last Mission" blu-ray disc for collection or play at home on Windows, Mac, HTPC, Laptop, Blu-ray Players or Home Theatre System. So how? At first, you need a software to get it done. Much software can work for you, such as Blu-ray Ripper, Video Converter Ultimate.

But what I want to recommend is Pavtube ByteCopy, because it is not only capable of helping you to transcode blu-ray discs to various output formats, but also it can transcode Blu-ray to MP4/MKV with multiple audio and subtitle tracks. Suppose you are good at both English and Francia, and want to preserve both of them from original Blu-ray discs when converting, that is what Pavtube ByteCoy can do for you. And you can select the audio you want when enjoying movies.

With output default settings you can get all audio tracks preserved. In addition, if you want more customization, you can also uncheck the audio tracks you do not need to output. Just find "Audio" under "Settings" button, then uncheck the undesired audio.

Step 3. Click "Convert" to start backing up "In the Name of the King 3: The Last Mission" Blu-ray to MP4/MO4 retaining multitracks, when completed, click "Open" to find the generated files

What's DVD Copyright Protection and How to Remove Copy Protection from DVD Easily

Do you have bought some new DVD movies with copyright protection? To prevent these valued DVDs from any loss or damages, most people wonder whether it is legal to rip these DVDs with a ripping program. The answer is in the below article.

How can i copy a protected DVD? When i simply copy it, it says it is protected. Usually i back up the dvd and then burn the image file. I have been using DVD SHRINk to copy it. Unfortunally it's not working now... Any suggestions?

From: forum.videohelp.com

Many people may have big original DVD collections of favorite actors and most of these DVDs are copyrighted. To prevent these valued DVDs from any loss or damages, the best way is to keep them well on computer. But there is one problem when they start to rip copy protected DVD. Are you clear about DVD copyright protection? Now hold on reading.

Basic Knowledge of DVD Copyright Protection

DVD copy protection is a blanket term for various methods of copy protection for DVDs. Such methods include DRM, CD-checks, Dummy Files, illegal tables of contents, over-sizing or over-burning the DVD, physical errors and bad sectors. Many protection schemes rely on breaking compliance with DVD standards, leading to playback problems on some devices.

From: Wikipedia

Detailed DVD Copy Protection Types

The knowledge of DVD copyright protection is just a tip of the iceberg. There are mainly six types of copy protection technologies applied to commercial DVD discs, including Disney New DVD Copy Protection,The Analog Protection System (APS), Commercial DVD CSS encryption, DVD Region Code, User operation prohibition (UOP), and Sony ARccOS DVD protection. Here we will have a look of these DVD copyright protection schemes in brief.
  • Disney New DVD Copy Protection: Commonly known as Disney X-Project DRM, it is probably the most complicated DVD copyright protection schemes used by Disney that even many professional DVD ripper or copy software cannot handle. Generally, the DVD encoded with Disney new copyright protection comes with 99 titles that many software fails to select the right one. And newer DVDs appear in an oversized way, up to 50GB, making it impossible to make a backup of it. Worse still, the Disney new copy protection scheme may lead to crash halfway during DVD copying process in many famous DVD rippers like Handbrake.
  • The Analog Protection System (APS): Another DVD copyright protection system originally developed by Macrovision. Videos copied from DVDs encoded with APS become garbled and unwatchable.
  • Sony ARccOS DVD protection: A copy-protection system used on most Sony DVDs. The system deliberately creates corrupted sectors on the DVD, which leads copying software to produce errors (see bad sector).
  • Content Scramble System (CSS) Encryption: An encryption system capitalizes on a proprietary 40-bit stream cipher algorithm, which was introduced to stop byte-for-byte copies of an MPEG (digital video) stream from being playable. This DVD copyright protection measure has been superseded by newer DRM scheme like CPRM that has 56-bit or 128-bit key sizes, providing a much higher level of security than the weak 40-bit key size of CSS.
  • DVD Region Code: This is achieved by way of region-locked DVD players, which will play back only DVDs encoded to their region. However, region-free DVD players, which ignore region coding, are also commercially available, and many DVD players can be modified to be region-free, allowing playback of all discs.
  • User operation prohibition (UOP): A form of use restriction on DVD discs. The viewers are prohibited from performing a large majority of actions on a DVD that is restricted by this scheme. Generally, copyright notices and FBI warning (in the United States) will be displayed if any of these actions are attempted. Some publishers also encode "protected" (i.e., "unskippable") commercials on their DVDs.Remove DVD Copyright Protection, Legal or Illegal?

Generally, backing up and ripping protected DVD to video formats stored in your own computer should not be a problem as long as you own the original. But making them available for upload or share them otherwise may be illegal, depending on the country you live in.Then what program should be used to rip these copy protected DVDs? Especially now when new copy protection technology are widely used in movies/DVDs released by Hollywood, Disney, Paramount, Warner Home Video, etc. The newly released film like Batman: The Dark Knight Rises, The Avengers, Men in Black 3, Transformer 3, Up, and many other are well protected with the latest copy protection, it is difficult to copy and rip DVD to hard disk as common videos.

Recommended DVD Copy Protection Removal Software

Technically, DVD ripping programs are widely available, but here I recommend you to choose Pavtube DVD Ripper - The best ripping tool for removing copy protection from new DVDs easily.

Pros:

1. Successful loading all new released DVD. Pavtube DVD Ripper recognizes all kinds of DVD sources: physical DVD, DVD ISO and IFO file, protected DVD Disc and unprotected DVD Disc. Moreover, and it successfully detects main movie by default.

2. "Full disc copy" feature. I use Pavtube DVD Ripper to back up DVDs with original structure to hard disk for various usages without damaging or scratching my special editions.

Tip: I used another Pavtube program called ByteCopy to backup my DVDs without quality loss. Meanwhile, several audio tracks and subtitles are preserved so I can switch language when watching movies.

3. Various output profile presets. Many people like me own would love to enjoy movies and TV shows from physical discs to more than one mobile phone and tablet. You can count on Pavtube DVD Ripper because it offers so many output formats that you would find the suitable one eventually.

4. Video Editor available. Another reason I like Pavtube is it ships with many video editing features, and usually I use it to cut off black bars of original DVDs and play full screen on my HD TV at home. Besides, it does more than that. It trims off unwanted commercials from TiVo recordings, add watermarks as copyright protection to your source file, and more.

5. Other small but essential functions. Pavtube application takes advantage of the NVIDIA CUDA technology and AMD APP technology, and the conversion speed can be increased up to 6 times faster than ever before. Moreover, Pavtube programs support adding *.srt and *.ass subtitles into video and merge into one file for output.

Cons:

1. It allows you to trim a certain section from original DVDs, but you cannot split more than one segment at the same time.
2. It hasn't included the new devices such as iPhone 5S/5C, iPad Air, etc in Format menu yet. While you could get these missing profiles by downloading Pavtube Profile Patches.

User's Reviews:

Your profile works just great and the picture is clear, well as always you guys are fantastic with your products and please work on being able to burn to DVD once the user has made their conversation that is something that your competitors can not do directly and that would be awesome and I would love to be your beta tester.

It is easy to use for editing and conversion and makes great quality copies of my DVDs. I really like that I can turn up the volume on my DVDs. It is a great feature! I also like that it gives me a lot of options when choosing how to copy and convert my DVDs. I tried some other DVD software and researched others and this seems to be the best! I am glad that I bought this software!
